- Changes to this policy
1. Scope
- This policy applies to every App we develop and publish (see our App Store developer page) and to our website.
- Apps offer different features, so each item in Section 2 applies only to Apps that have that feature. You can also check the data types each App collects in the “App Privacy” section of its App Store page.
- Services you reach through ads or links inside the Apps are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. Information we process
We do not offer accounts, and we do not collect contacts, photos, health data, or other information the Apps do not need. Depending on the features an App offers, the following information is processed.
2.1 Information stored only on your device (all Apps)
- What: app settings, scores and records, theme choices, usage counts, and other values the App needs to work.
- How: the App saves this information in your device’s storage. It is not sent to us, and we cannot access it.
- It is deleted when you delete the App. It may be included in your iCloud or device backups according to your settings and Apple’s policies.
2.2 In-app purchases (Apps with paid features)
- Apple processes payments through the App Store. We do not receive your name, Apple Account, payment method, or card number.
- To unlock what you bought, the App checks the transaction information Apple provides on your device (product ID, purchase date, transaction ID, and refund or cancellation status).
- Apple provides us with sales reports that do not identify you (such as country, units, and proceeds).
- The usage statistics tool (Section 2.4) may record purchase events (product ID, price, and currency).
2.3 Advertising (Apps with ads)
- Collected by: Google LLC (Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform).
- What: device identifiers (app- or developer-scoped identifiers, and the advertising identifier IDFA only if you allow tracking), IP address and the approximate location derived from it, ad interactions such as impressions and clicks, device information such as model, OS version, and language, app information, your ad consent choices, and SDK diagnostics (crash and performance data).
- How: Google’s ads SDK inside the App collects this automatically when it requests and shows ads, and sends it to Google.
- Personalized ads: the IDFA is used only if you choose “Allow” in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt. In regions that require separate consent, such as the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, you can choose in Google’s consent form. If you do not allow tracking, the App and ads still work, and you see ads that are not personalized.
- Rewarded ads: only when you choose to watch an ad in exchange for a temporary benefit (for example, a 24-hour pass). The same information is processed.
2.4 Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
- What: app instance ID, an app- or developer-scoped device identifier (IDFV), the advertising identifier (IDFA) if you allow tracking, usage events such as app opens, screens, and features used, device model, OS version, app version, language, country or region (derived from your IP address), first-open and session information, and in-app purchase events.
- Why: to understand how features are used and to improve the Service. We review this information as statistics that do not identify you.
2.5 Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
- What: crash traces, the device state when the crash happened (model, OS version, memory and storage, screen orientation, and similar), Crashlytics installation identifier, Firebase installation ID, and app version.
- Why: to find and fix crashes and errors.
2.6 Remote settings (Firebase Remote Config)
- What: Firebase installation ID, app version, and device language and country.
- Why: to adjust App settings without an update (for example, ad frequency or the end date of a promotion).
2.7 Location (Apps with location features, only if you allow it)
- What: your location from iOS Location Services, either precise or approximate as you choose in iOS.
- Why: to show information for where you are, such as local weather or the UV index.
- How: to get data for your area, the coordinates may be sent to the data provider. We do not store your location on our servers, and we do not use it for advertising.
- Location is also governed by our Terms and Conditions of Location-Based Services. If you do not allow location access, you can still use everything except the location features.
2.8 Support requests
- What: your email address, your message, and any device or app details you choose to include.
- Why: to read and answer your request.
2.9 Website visits
- What: server logs such as IP address, browser type, date and time, and pages visited, and cookies needed to run the website.
- Why: to operate and secure the website.
3. How we use information
We use information only for the following purposes. If a purpose changes, we will take the steps the law requires, such as asking for your consent.
- To provide App features and to deliver and restore purchases
- To show ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud and abuse
- To understand usage and improve the Service
- To find and fix crashes and keep the Service reliable
- To adjust features and promotions through remote settings
- To provide location-based information (only in Apps with location features)
- To answer support requests and meet legal obligations
4. Retention and deletion
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Information stored only on your device | Until you delete the App or reset its data |
| Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) | Up to 14 months from collection, per our Google Analytics data retention setting |
| Crash reports (Crashlytics) | 90 days |
| Firebase installation IDs (remote settings and similar) | Until we request deletion; deleted within 180 days of the request |
| Advertising data (AdMob) | As described in the Google Privacy Policy |
| Support requests | 1 year after the request is resolved |
| Website server logs | 3 months |
If another law requires us to keep information longer, we keep it separately for that period. When a retention period ends or the purpose is fulfilled, we delete the information without delay. Electronic files are deleted so they cannot be recovered, and paper records are shredded or incinerated.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal information or provide it to third parties, except:
- When you have agreed in advance
- When the law requires it, or when law enforcement requests it through a legally required process
In Apps with ads, Google collects the information in Section 2.3 directly through its ads SDK and processes it to provide and measure ads. Sections 6 and 7 explain this in detail.
6. Service providers and international transfers
We use the following service providers. Your information is transferred outside your country, including to the United States.
| Recipient | Country | Information | Purpose | When and how | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (Firebase) |
United States and other countries where Google operates data centers | Sections 2.4–2.6 | Usage statistics, crash reports, remote settings | Sent over the network while you use the App | Section 4 |
| Google LLC (AdMob, UMP) |
United States and other countries where Google operates data centers | Section 2.3 | Providing and measuring ads, preventing fraud, managing ad consent | Sent over the network when ads are requested | Google Privacy Policy |
- Google privacy contact: https://support.google.com/policies/troubleshooter/7575787
- If you do not want this transfer, you can stop using the App or delete it. Usage statistics, crash reports, and ads are needed to operate the Apps, so you cannot use an App while refusing these transfers. You can refuse personalized ads separately as described in Section 7.
- Apple handles in-app purchases, iOS Location Services, and the App Tracking Transparency prompt directly under the Apple Privacy Policy. We do not send this information to Apple on your behalf.
7. Personalized advertising
- Information: the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), ad impressions and clicks, and app usage.
- How: collected automatically by the ads SDK while the App runs and shows ads.
- Why: to show ads that match your interests and to measure ad performance.
- Retention: as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Company that processes this information: Google LLC.
How to turn off personalized ads
- On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and turn off tracking for the App or for all apps.
- In regions where a consent form is shown, change your choice under “Privacy options” in the App’s settings (where available).
- If you use a Google Account, you can also manage personalized ads in Google Ad Settings.
- You will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
- Apps: the Apps do not use cookies. The SDKs in Sections 2.3–2.6 store and use device and installation identifiers on your device. You can refuse the advertising identifier as described in Section 7, and the other identifiers are removed from your device when you delete the App.
- Website: our website may use cookies needed for it to work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work properly.
9. Your rights and choices
- You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to stop or limit processing, or to withdraw consent. A legal guardian or an authorized agent can also make a request for you.
- Send requests to support@morethan.net. We respond within the time the law requires, and within 10 days for users in Korea.
- Because we do not offer accounts, we may not be able to link information collected by the Apps to you. We may ask for the minimum information needed to handle your request and will act on what we can verify.
Choices you can make yourself
- Delete the App: removes App data and identifiers from your device.
- Stop tracking: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Turn off location access: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services
- Change ad consent: “Privacy options” in the App’s settings (where available)
10. Children’s privacy
The Apps are general-audience apps and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in the United States, under 14 in Korea, or under the age set by each member state in the EEA. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child’s information has been collected, contact support@morethan.net and we will delete it without delay.
11. Security
- We process only the information we need and regularly review the SDKs in the Apps and the data they collect.
- Communication between the SDKs and Google’s servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). We do not run our own server database of users’ personal information.
- Our developer accounts, analytics and ad consoles, and support mailbox use two-step verification, and access is kept to a minimum.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions that significantly affect your rights or obligations using fully automated systems.
